In fact, they recognize each other after years of absence and, in many cases, relationships between elephants last a lifetime. They are loyal, protective, and thoughtful animals.

Kathryn Hummer

The Creator of Opportunities, Lead Tusker

Kathryn (Katie) Hummer is a commercial real estate consultant who has demonstrated an aptitude for start-up development and franchise expansion. In 2001, she earned a B.A. with dual degrees from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. Soon after, she began her real estate career with the world-renowned resort development company, Intrawest.

In 2011, as a Senior Broker with Colliers International, Katie was selected as one of two consultants to facilitate the national development of Denver-based Sola Salon Studios, a concept that was awarded, by Forbes Magazine in 2015, the #1 Franchise to buy in America. Two years later, she accepted a position as the Director of Real Estate for LYFE Kitchen, a start-up restaurant concept founded by the former COO of McDonalds, where she implemented a development plan for the Central U.S.

Katie has also provided real estate solutions for national landlords and tenants such as Forest City Commercial Group, General Growth Properties, Black Rock, Fidelity Investments, Bloomin Brands, Rubio's Coastal Grill, and Great Divide Brewing Company. A native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, she's an avid cyclist, yogi, and alpine skier. She's also a member of DMCAB and ICSC. Ever since Katie became a Colorado resident in 2003, she has been a supporter of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado, an organization serving at-risk children.
